Jinma tractor oils & Fluids
What or which types oils should I use in my Jinma ;Transmission ? (gear box)Rear & Front differential ? (gear box) Transmission ? (gear box)Finial Drive, Front & Rear? (gear box)Transfer Case? (gear box)Engine? (crankcase)Fuel Injection Pump? (high pressure pump)Hydraulic System? (gear pump) (3-point lift, Front end loader)Power Steering? (gear pump) Trying to interpret the books that came with these tractors can be quite a challenge sometimes. Part numbers are poorly translated and change. Some parts do not even have a factory part number.
Some things to think about.I think it makes it hard to repair, troubleshoot, service or maintain anything unless I know how it works and designed, or I end up guessing. An engineer or a group of engineer’s design and build engines, transmissions, differentials, pumps ETC with a required lubricant for specific operating clearances under different Loads, Speeds & Operating Temperatures.A Gearbox uses gears and gear trains to provide speed & torque from a rotating power source to any other device. They are used to change speed, measured in rotations per minute. Output of torque and speed determined by gear ratio.Gear design affects lubrication performance and type / Spec. As of 2005, The Jinma 200,300 & 400 series that I have seen / worked on have.Spur Gears (straight cut gears) in the manual sliding gear transmission. Not a synchronized transmission/gear box.Spur Gears (straight cut gears) Finial Drive. Front & Rear.Spur Gear Hydraulic Pump (external Gear Pump), Power Steering & Main PumpStraight Bevel Gears in differential, Front & Rear.Spiral Bevel Gears in differential, Front & Rear.
Here are what oils & Fluid we recommend. Engine Cooling System. 50 / 50 Green Antifreeze.Engine Oil. 15w-40 . Non-Synthetic.Fuel Injection Pump. 15w-40 . Non-Synthetic.Hydraulic Oil. AW32 is equivalent to 10 weight. AW46 is equivalent to 20 weight.Power Steering with a separate oil reservoir. AW32 is equivalent to 10 weight. Aw46 is equivalent to 20 weight.** NOTE **. Colder temperatures may do better with AW32. While hotter climates may do better with AW46. Non-Synthetic.Gear Box, 80W90 GL4 or GL5. AKA Transmission/Rear differential & Transfer case if 4X4, Front Differential. Non-Synthetic. GL5 is our choice.** NOTE ***. The 400 Series have wet brakes.Fuel Injection Pump (high pressure pump). 15W40 if it has its own oil sump. Injection pumps that don’t have an oil sump are being lubricated via the engine crankcase oil.

Just a last note, say If you are familiar with the sound of your Jinma transmission/differential while in use. And then you replaced the gear oil with engine oil, and now it is more noisy ??. I would think this would be a caution flag, if not a RED flag.
